Ron Maxim Huang

Ron Maxim Huang was born in Berlin. He gained his first musical experience as a member of the Berlin State Cathedral Choir (Staats- und Domchor Berlin) and the children’s choir of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, where he also performed as a boy soloist.

Ron is a prize winner at the 2020 Ettlingen International Competition for Young Pianists, the 64th International Ferruccio Busoni Piano Competition (2023), and the 2024 Xiamen International Piano Competition.

He has appeared as a soloist with orchestras such as the Kammerakademie Potsdam, the Wuhan Philharmonic, the Niš Symphony Orchestra, the Wratislavia Chamber Orchestra, the Neue Lausitzer Philharmonie, CCOM Beijing, and the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong (CCOHK). Since the age of 16, Ron Maxim has performed regularly as a soloist with the Sinfonie Orchester Berlin at the Berliner Philharmonie.

He has been a guest at prestigious festivals, including the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, the Pianissimo Festival, the Brandenburg Summer Concerts, the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, the 94th Bachfest Rostock, the Bebersee Festival, and the crescendo Festival Berlin. In 2026, Ron will perform at the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Victoria Concert Hall in Singapore, and the Gstaad Festival in Switzerland.

As a recital partner, he has appeared in the Stars & Rising Stars concert series in Munich alongside star violinist Daniel Hope. He was also a guest of Daniel Hope’s ARTE Concert series, appearing in the Hope@Home and Hope@9pm formats at the Konzerthaus Berlin, and has performed at the Frauenkirche Dresden, the Beethoven-Haus Bonn, and the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival.

Ron has been a scholar of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, the Carl Bechstein Foundation, the International Music Academy in the Principality of Liechtenstein, Yehudi Menuhin – Live Music Now, and the Hope Music Academy.

Currently, Ron is studying at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) under the tutelage of Prof. Björn Lehmann.
