In the autumn of 2021, Filharmonia Hungary has once again organised its traditional classical music festival in Pécs. The mission of the Music-Harvest Festival is to bring music from the concert-halls closer to the people in the streets, squares and other public places. Between 9-12 September in 2021, in addition to the numerous concerts there were many new programs available, like the open-air Classic Cinema, the family day, programs for the children and unexpected promenades at some of the most unusual locations of Pécs. Among the grand concerts we find the Hungarian State Opera’s performance of the world-renowned masterpiece of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. Popular movie soundtracks were revived by Pál Feke and the Saint Steven Philharmonics, and the world-famous pianist, Olga Kern performed at the Kodály Centre. The festival will return in September 2022 with likewise fantastic programs.
