Viktoria Postnikova

Viktoria Postnikova was born in Moscow into a family of musicians. She entered the Central Music School of the Moscow Conservatory at the age of six, studying under E.B. Musaelian, and later continued her education — including postgraduate studies — with the renowned Professor Yakov Flier.

In 1965, she received an honourable mention at the 7th International Chopin Piano Competition, followed by major successes at several prestigious competitions, including the Leeds International Piano Competition, the Vianna da Motta International Music Competition in Lisbon, and the 4th International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.

Since then, she has enjoyed an international career performing in leading concert halls with renowned orchestras, and she is regarded as one of the distinguished pianists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
